If you’ve been invited to collaborate with others on a shared RunPod team, accessing that team account is simple. This guide will walk both team owners and invitees through the entire process—from creating an invite to troubleshooting common access issues.
Step 1: Team Owner Creates an Invite Link
To allow someone to join your RunPod team, the team owner or an admin needs to create and share an invite link:
-
Navigate to your RunPod console.
-
From the top-left account selector, ensure you’re in the correct team.
-
Click “Teams” → click “Invite New Member”
-
Generate a new invite and assign a role (e.g.,
admin
,billing
,dev
,basic
).👉 Learn more about roles: RunPod Role Access Documentation
-
Click “Copy Link” and send it to your teammate.
Step 2: Invitee Accepts the Team Invitation
Once your colleague receives the invite:
- They must click the invite link and join team.
- After joining, they will have access based on the assigned role.
Step 3: Switch to the Team Account
Even after accepting the invite, users must manually switch to the team account to access team resources like pods and endpoints.
How to switch accounts:
- Click on the top-left dropdown menu of your dashboard.
- Select the team name (e.g., Test Production, Production Team).
You’re now in the team account and should be able to view shared resources.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Issues
📌 Scenario 1: You Accepted the Invite But Can't See Team Resources
- Ensure you've actually joined the team.
- Confirm you’ve switched to the team account using the selector.
- Optional: Use “Manage Teams” to leave unnecessary teams and simplify your view.
📌 Scenario 2: Your Invitee Can't See Resources After You Sent the Invite
- Ask if they clicked the invite link and joined the team.
- If they didn’t click Join, the link will remain in the Teams → Pending Invites Section.
- Once accepted, they must switch to the team account manually by clicking on the Team Selector.
If they skipped either step, they will remain in their personal account and won’t see shared resources.
