Accidentally added credits to the wrong RunPod account? Don’t worry—you can easily transfer those credits to the correct account using a self-serve method. However, there are a few important things to keep in mind before taking action.
⚠️ Important Warning: Do NOT Delete the Account
If you've mistakenly recharged the wrong account:
- Do NOT delete the account in a rush.
- Deleting the account will permanently remove the associated credits, and we won’t be able to retrieve or transfer them afterward.
Make sure the account remains active until the transfer is complete.
Self-Transfer Credits from Wrong to Correct Account
Here’s how to move credits from Account A (wrong) to Account B (correct):
Step 1: Log in to the Wrong Account (Account A)
- Visit the RunPod Billing Page.
- Scroll down to the Credit Codes section.
- Click “Generate Code” for the amount you want to move to the correct account.
- Copy the generated coupon code.
Step 2: Redeem on the Right Account (Account B)
- Log out of Account A and log in to the correct account (Account B).
- Navigate again to the Billing Page.
- Go to the Credit Codes section.
- Paste and redeem the coupon code you copied earlier.
The credit will now be added to your correct account.
Note on Transfer Charges
- A 2–5% transfer charge is automatically deducted during this process and you can see it while creating the code.
- These charges are unavoidable. This measure is in place to prevent fraudulent activity and abuse of the transfer system.
